A direct European-sourced flea market find, this is a bronze grade Bandenkampfabzeichen (Anti-Partisan Badge) constructed in bronzed zinc. The badge features a vertical banjo-style magnetic pin-back closure with barrel hinge and flat wire catch. Measuring 49.95 mm x 50.06 mm, it retains roughly 50% of its original bronze finish, the rest having been lost naturally through age and handling.
Despite the wear, the piece displays excellent detail throughout the wreath, sword, and serpent design, testifying to its authenticity and combat association. It weighs exactly 34.5 grams and remains in overall very fine condition.

Collector’s Analysis
• Rarity Factor: Bronze is the most commonly awarded grade of the Bandenkampfabzeichen, yet still scarce compared to most other combat badges due to limited issue. Surviving examples in this condition remain highly desirable.
• Market Context: Dealers often list these considerably higher, but real-world auction results — arguably the truest indicator of fair market value — show consistent hammer prices in the $2,000–$2,500 range (plus commission). Silver and gold grades command significantly more.
• Display Potential: A strong, combat-worn example with direct European sourcing, ideal for serious collectors of SS and specialized combat awards.
